Refund, Return & Warranty Policy

Important Notice Under Australian Consumer Law: Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion.

Part 1 – Change of Mind Returns (E-Commerce)

  • 30-Day Window: If you change your mind, you may return your un-opened item within 30 days from the date of purchase for a refund or store credit.
  • Condition Checklist: To be eligible for a change-of-mind return, the robotic mower and all accessories must be completely unused, packed inside the original, undamaged manufacturer box, and include all original security seals, labels, and promotional items intact.
  • Restocking Fees: Due to the specialized freight, battery transport compliance, and high financial value of Mammotion and Lymow products, a 15% restocking fee applies to change-of-mind returns to cover inspection and processing.
  • Exclusion: Custom installation services already rendered, or layout wires/materials permanently modified or laid on your property, cannot be refunded for a change of mind.

Part 2 – Delivery & Return Shipping

  • Return Authorization: You must contact us at help@smartlawns.com.au to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before shipping any heavy machinery back to our service centre.
  • Shipping Costs: For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for paying all return shipping costs. Because robotic mowers contain high-capacity lithium-ion batteries, they must be shipped using certified dangerous goods courier services. We strongly recommend using a traceable courier service and purchasing transit insurance, as we cannot guarantee receipt of un-tracked returns.

Part 3 – Manufacturer Warranty Claims

Smartlawns Pty Ltd is an authorized specialist retailer and service centre for Mammotion and Lymowproducts.

  • Warranty Periods: Warranty durations are set directly by the manufacturer  
  • Making a Claim: If you suspect a manufacturing fault, contact us immediately with your original order invoice, serial number, and diagnostic photos or videos.
  • What is Covered vs. Excluded: Warranties cover mechanical and software manufacturing defects. They do not cover normal wear and tear (such as dull blades or tires), damage caused by cutting objects other than grass, striking hidden property obstacles, water ingress from high-pressure hose cleaning (contrary to manual guidelines), or unauthorized third-party repairs.
